Hold onto your hats people, because if you're looking for things to do in London with kids, then a Thames Rockets speedboat ride is something that will really float your crew's boat for sure! We recently took a spin along the Thames ourselves with Thames Rockets and not only did it make a huge splash in the fun stakes, but we as a famalam collectively agreed that it was one of the best adventures we've ever been on in London town!
What is Thames Rockets?
Thames Rockets just so happens to be the ultimate way to explore some of London's most fabulous landmarks, all from your seat aboard one of its RIB speedboats. Expect a high-speed, high-energy ride along the Thames while whizzing past some of London's famous sights including The Tower of London, Big Ben, Canary Wharf et al (depending on what tour you take).
About those tours: tell me more
With around 12 different regular and seasonal tours operating at any one time, there's plenty of action-packed fun to choose from when it comes to a Thames Rockets experience. If it's a big slice of family adventure you're after, then you can't go wrong with the Captain Kidd’s Canary Wharf Voyage: kids will love spotting HMS Belfast, Tate Modern and more as you whip down the Thames accompanied by feel-good tunes and a super duper captain and tour guide.
Other epic picks include the original Ultimate London Adventure (taking in sights from Big Ben to Tower Bridge), Thames Lates (for when you can ditch the kids and fancy the ultimate date night), and plenty more.
